But of COURSE Sheboygan has the best Brats. We still have small butcher shops with their own secret recipes. Top it off with Johnston's Bakery hard rolls, or any of Sheboygan's rolls, and you'll be transported to Sheboygan. (Remember Bratwurst days in the 60's when one could drink beer at 18, along with the brat? Legally?)
You all DO KNOW, don't you, that most Sheboygan folks don't put sauerkraut on their beautiful brats, right? That's more of a Milwaukee thing, or a thing that folks do who live outside the 40-mile Sheboygan area radius. Nevertheless, if you love that kraut, go for it, and it's GOOD for you, healthwise.

This place is just ok (hence the A-OK 3 stars). When hot dogs were standard and boring around town, I can understand why people made a fuss over these brats. But the San Francisco hot dog game has really upped the ante with places like Show Dogs, Dapper Dogs and Rosamunde Sausage. Knowing how good a dog can be, these Sheboygan Brats just seem middle of the road.
Sheboygan Brat: Better than a standard issue hot dog. Less personality than dogs at bougie joints such as Showdogs. Pretty filling for ballpark meal. The grilled onions were more like soggy onions cooked just enough to lose their flavor, but not enough to gain flavor through charring or caramelization. The sauerkraut lacked that tangy fermented taste. Had to load the brat up with ketchup, mustard and relish to fill in the flavor gaps. Felt like there was a bit too much bun give the the amount of bratwurst. -

One of the best at AT&T Park! Usually get the Sheboygan Brat with Garlic Fries and Brew! Then watch the best Baseball Team in MLB! We are SF! We are Giant!

What's there to say that hasn't been said? Quite possibly the best ballpark food item at AT&T Park besides the crab sammy and the garlic fries. Everyone says you have to be sure to get them from the right stand, so let me make it easy: go to the Ghirardelli arch near the Coca Cola bottle. Boom. No more going section to section looking for a real Sheboygan like I did last season.
For less than $10 you're given a 12 inch Sheboygan loaded up with grilled onions and sauerkraut on a steamed bun. They load it up heavily with grilled onions, so you may or may not ask for light onions depending on your presence. Add a bit of mustard and you got yourself a mountain of grilled onions, sauerkraut, and a signature Sheboygan sausage. The sausage didn't have much of a snap which I always look for, but it was great nonetheless. The bratwurst was grilled to a perfect crisp and was juicy throughout. Undeniably one of the best hot dogs at AT&T Park. -

Literally the best thing ever when the Sheboygan Cart has NO LINE because everyone and their mother is in line for garlic fries. Don't get me wrong, those fries...when fresh...are some of the best things ever, but a bratwurst is the way to go when at the park!
It's nice and steaming hot, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and topped with kraut and a mix of sweated onions and peppers (yum!) on a soft seeded bun. It's anything but your typical dog. So worth the $8!
